Lola’s Book Hoard
Lola is a goofy, helpful and caring tiny dragon who has an addiction to collecting and reading books, one just as strong as her love of helping townsfolk and different villages.
The Zine originally stemmed from a university project during my first term that I came up with in about a week, I just wanted it to be simple and humorous. I promised myself that i’d repaint the Zine when I had more time to pour into the design, now I have it.
Keep an eye out for the release of Lola’s Book Hoard in late August 2025.
The Original
The first rendition of Lola was all about a little purple dragon enhanced with linework, layering with the wash of colour under clear harsh lines for the books. I am really excited to develop the colour palette as its base is very strong.
