The Next Step.
Having spent 2 years at college and spending time developing myself and my art, I lost my time for Humbirds and felt horrid about it, I kept attending markets and building connections in person but lost touch with the online community i’d spent so long building. For that i’m sorry.
As college came to a close I had to make the decision of if university as the next step, of course it was. To my surprise I got accepted at Cambridge School of Art, for their 2024 class and was ecstatic. It meant the chance to develop my business, my brand as an artist but also my skills, storytelling and connections. Things I was excited and curious and scared to do.
Having begun my first year at university I definitely struggled with finding my footing, being on such a complex course surrounded by artists that were insanely good and most of which found and confident in who they are, whilst I was still playing ADHD confusion in my style. But as the year ticked by, developed and changed, I made new friends, built new professional connections, developed my style, art and storytelling in ways I never imagined. The bigger part, I started sharing my poetry with my art, combining multiple aspects of what my creativity is, and that In massive part, helped me find my footing in work I wanted to make, It clicked when I made the Tami the Tortoi story and I didn’t want to stop.
So I won’t. Keep your eyes out as I make more and more for you to fall in love with.
The biggest change, was getting back involved with Humbirds, posting again, engaging again, developing and sharing and reminding you that I just want everyone to like it, share it and buy it if they really love it, no pressure, no expectations, no demands, just goofy artwork and stories that may help. For me to do that, I wanted a hub for everything, place you can find all my art, my shop, to contact me, to see older work all in a neat and accessible way.
So have a look around, take some time, read the posts. Leave if you want to. Stay awhile if you fancy. Or even, if you want, get your hands on some of my creations.
